The partnership marks a strategic
step for VinFast to expand public access to electric vehicles while
strengthening sales and after-sales services in Indonesia’s automotive market.
Through the joint venture, VinFast
and Gowa Motor Group are targeting the establishment of at least 30 showrooms
and service centers across Indonesia. The new network will offer VinFast
electric vehicles along with maintenance, after-sales, and customer care
services.
Antonio Zara, CEO of VinFast
Southeast Asia, said Gowa Motor Group’s extensive experience in Indonesia’s
automotive industry would be an important asset in expanding VinFast’s reach.
According to Zara, VinFast’s
product development capabilities and advanced technologies, combined with Gowa
Motor Group’s local market knowledge and established automotive network, will
help create a more accessible and high-quality electric vehicle ownership
experience for Indonesian consumers.
Meanwhile, Sadikin Aksa,
Commissioner of Gowa Motor Group, said Indonesia’s electric vehicle market has
significant growth potential. The partnership with VinFast is expected not only
to create new business opportunities but also to support the acceleration of
the country’s transition toward more environmentally friendly transportation.
VinFast currently operates more than 40 showrooms across Indonesia and plans to add more than 150 additional showrooms in the coming years. The expansion is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its position in Indonesia’s growing electric vehicle market.

Beyond its dealership network,
VinFast is also developing a broader electric vehicle ecosystem through
strategic partnerships, including charging infrastructure developer V-Green,
all-electric ride-hailing service GSM, financial institutions, banking
partners, and authorized service workshops.
VinFast has also commenced
operations at its manufacturing facility in Subang, West Java. By strengthening
its production capabilities, distribution network, and supporting ecosystem,
the company aims to accelerate business growth while expanding the adoption of
environmentally friendly mobility solutions in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
