Faktabandungraya.com,---Ketua Umum Kamar Dagang dan Industri (Kadin) Indonesia
Arsjad Rasjid mengatakan, keberadaan industri pasar modal Indonesia menjadi
agen utama mendorong dan mempercepat Pemulihan Ekonomi Nasional akibat dampak
pandemi Covid-19. Untuk itu, sudah seharusnya menjadi fokus utama pemerintah,
regulator dan stakeholder terkait.

"Bila perekonomian
Indonesia ingin cepat pulih pasca Covid-19, maka penguatan pasar saham harus
menjadi fokus utama. Saatnya pasar modal menjadi agen utama pertumbuhan ekonomi
Indonesia dari terpaan resesi akibat Covid-19,".
Demikian dikatakan Ketum Kadin
Indonesia Arsjad Rasjid saat menjadi pembicara kunci dalam acara Indonesia Best
Public Company Award 2021 yang digelar Warta Ekonomi secara virtual di Jakarta,
Selasa (31/8/2021), kemarin.
Munurut Arsjad, bukan
tanpa sebab, studi Bank Dunia bertajuk Capital Markets Development, Causes,
Effect, and Sequencing mengungkapkan bahwa pertumbuhan investasi saham memiliki
korelasi yang sangat kuat dengan pertumbuhan ekonomi.
"Korelasi tersebut
didasarkan besarnya manfaat investasi saham untuk membiayai berbagai sektor
ekonomi strategis seperti ekspansi perusahan, pengembangan infrastruktur,
perumahan, UMKM dan perubahan iklim," jelasnya.
Selain itu, lanjut dia,
ditemukan juga bahwa negara yang memiliki pasar saham yang kuat akan lebih
cepat pulih dari resesi ekonomi dibandingkan negara yang didominasi sektor
perbankan.
"Studi tersebut
membuktikan bahwa pasar modal berimbas luar biasa terhadap ekonomi suatu
negara. Dari studi ini dapat disimpulkan pasar modal yang kuat dan besar tentu
akan menghasilkan ekonomi yang kuat dan besar pula," ungkapnya.
Beruntung, kondisi pasar
modal Indonesia saat ini tetap moncer kendati pandemi Covid-19 belum usai. Hal
ini salah satunya bisa dilihat dari meningkat pesatnya jumlah investor di pasar
modal Indonesia. Pada akhir 2018, investor di Indonesia tercatat 1,6 juta
investor termasuk saham, reksa dana dan SBN.
Kemudian pada Februari 2021, jumlahnya menjadi 2 juta akun investor.
Satu satu peserta acara Indonesia Best Public Company Award 2021 yang digelar
Warta Ekonomi secara virtual di Jakarta
"Tentu ini
pertumbuhan yang luar biasa di saat pandemi. kalau kita lihat 70% atau sebanyak
400an investor dari total investor baru adalah kaum melenial dengan rentang
usia 18-30 tahun," cetus Arsjad.
Selain itu, aktivitas
perdagangan di Bursa Efek Indonesia juga naik signifikan dimana transaksi
harian pada Januari 2021 telah mencapai Rp20,5 triliun per hari. Angka ini
melesat tinggi bila dibandingkan dengan periode Juli 2020 yang tercatat
rata-rata nilai transaksi harian mencapai Rp7,6 triliun per hari.
Oleh karena itu, dengan
kondisi tersebut, Arsjad bilang sudah saatnya industri ini menjadi tumpuan
utama dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi.
Dalam kesemapatan
tersebut, Arsjad juga mennyampaikan selamat kepada para perusahaan terbuka yang
telah menerima penghargaan dan telah beekontribusi dalam pemulihan ekonomi
nasional.
